Monday musings

Urgh, what a morning. There's nothing worse than waking up 20 minutes before your alarm. It's pointless trying to get back to sleep because if you do you'll feel 100 times worse when you get woken by the alarm, but you're still tired and don't want to get up. It's only 11:30am and I'm drooping over my PC already.

T'was a nice weekend though. The first weekend since the house move when we didn't have to do anything if we didn't want to... so we didn't. Went to the cinema for the first time in weeks to see Finding Neverland. I thoroughly enjoyed it and even DBF said it wasn't bad, which for this kind of film, from him, is high praise.

Sunday I cooked a roast dinner for the first time in the new house, I still need to get used to the cooker but it didn't turn out too badly, the yorkshires were a little soggy and the potatoes could have been crispier but everything was cooked and tasted good.

One bad thing that happened is that we discovered that the shower enclosure in one of the bathrooms has a leak. We're going to try and patch it up for now but since we were planning some changes anyway we've decided to get all the changes done sooner than we'd originally planned. Since we'll be changing the tiles and the shower screen, any leaks should be taken care of at the same time. The biggest change is to replace the bath with something bigger and possibly with jets =) and to move the sink out from under the eaves. I have to question the mentality of someone who fits a sink under a sloping ceiling where the headroom is only 5'5". I have to hunch up to use it and poor DBF is 6'6", he has to go and use the bathroom two floors down!
